Job description

Outpatient only, no on-call, no weekends, no holidays.
North Central Mental Health Services, Inc. is located in the Short North district, south of OSU's main campus with all populations and age groups accepted for services. Our hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. May be a part-time (<24 hours weekly) or full-time role (40 hours weekly) on site. Remote services will not apply to this position.
Will provide outpatient mental health treatment to residents within Franklin County, Ohio and provide crisis management services as needed. May collaborate and consult with a multidisciplinary team of health care professionals on patient care. Will provide education and consultation to staff and students on mental health concerns and participate in program review and improvement. May collaborate with new providers for supervision or training of students in placement roles.

KEY FUNCTIONS:
See a minimum of 20 patients daily:
  • Assess and provide direct services to individuals, families, children and adolescents on an outpatient basis.
  • Prescribe and monitor medication(s).
  • Provide education, diagnoses and treatment options related to patient care and medication;
  • Complete any necessary documentation related to direct services provided.
  • Assist in coordination of treatment or services of patient with primary care providers (PCP's).
  • Effectively communicate and work in conjunction with staff involved in patient treatment.
  • May participate in case consults.
  • May collaborate with Nurse Practitioner(s).
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Graduate of an accredited medical or osteopathic school doctoral program and completion of residency program.
  • Licensed in the State of Ohio per ORC 4731, unrestricted.
  • DEA and State Controlled Substances registration.
  • Prior psychiatric experience and/or exposure through clinicals or employment necessary.
  • Desire to work with individuals under the age of 18.
  • Pre-employment criminal background check and drug testing are mandatory.

Background and reference checks will be conducted. Individuals are not considered applicants until they have completed an application and completed an on-site interview. Completing the application does not guarantee employment. In accordance with North Central's Drug-Free Workplace Policy, pre-employment drug testing will be administered. EOE/AA
