Job description

Osborn Engineering is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with design experience in electrical power distribution systems, lighting and grounding systems for commercial, higher education, and healthcare buildings to join our team. This position will report to the Manager of Electrical Engineering.

Osborn is a fully integrated multi-disciplined design firm that uses a specialized team approach to engineering projects. These teams are comprised of a staff of more than 225 professionals that provide designs for all phases of a wide range of projects. Osborn has specialists in civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and life safety, technology engineering, transportation and commissioning. Position Responsibilities

  • Preparing electrical design calculations.
  • Making engineering assumptions.
  • Assisting in preparation of calculations.
  • Preparing construction drawings and visual aids.
  • Performing standard computation and analysis.

Our Electrical Engineers work closely with the directors, managers, and engineering staff to ensure clients’ needs and expectations are exceeded and met in a timely fashion.

Job Requirements/Qualifications

  • PE registered. (Required)
  • 10-15 years of electrical design experience.
  • Power Distribution Systems Design Experience. (Required)
  • Familiarity with power system analysis software. (Plus)
  • Lighting Design experience. (Required)
  • Familiarity with lighting design software. (Required)
  • Fire Alarm Design experience. (Plus)
  • Working knowledge of National Electrical Code. (Required)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. (Required)
  • Ability to manage several projects concurrently.
  • Ability to work with remote office team members.
  • Demonstrated writing and communication skills.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 10 to 15 years of experience in Electrical Design Engineering is required. Professional Engineering license is required.
