Description:
We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Part-Time Heavy Truck Technician Instructor. This role involves teaching and training individuals in heavy truck maintenance, diagnostics, and repair. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience as a heavy truck technician along with a strong background in heavy truck systems and technology.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans and training materials focused on heavy truck maintenance, diagnostics, and repair.
Conduct hands-on training sessions in a classroom or lab environment, using industry-standard tools and equipment.
Provide guidance and support to students as they work on practical exercises and projects related to heavy truck technology.
Assess student performance through assignments, quizzes, and practical assessments, offering constructive feedback for improvement.
Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and safety regulations relevant to heavy truck maintenance and repair.
Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to enhance curriculum content and instructional methods.
Assist in maintaining training equipment and facilities to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.
Mentor and advise students interested in pursuing careers in heavy truck technology.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of practical experience as a heavy truck technician or in a related field.
Heavy Truck ASE Certifications Preferred.
Proficiency in heavy truck systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts effectively.
Experience developing instructional materials and delivering training sessions is preferred.
Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations governing heavy truck maintenance and repair.

Willingness to adapt to industry changes and incorporate new technologies into curriculum design.
