Job description

Gathers, analyzes, and interprets complex business data to generate actionable insights that support strategic decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and drive business growth. The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will strengthen FCB's data-driven decision-making capabilities and lead complex, large-scale projects from start to finish. Strategic thinking and long-term planning capabilities, with the ability to align analytics with business objectives. You will design and maintain business intelligence (BI) dashboards and reports, analyze key business metrics, and partner closely with stakeholders to turn complex data into simple, consumable, and impactful recommendations. Plan, develop, test and distribute data analytics across all lines of business. Act as a mentor and coach, guiding employees in advanced analytics capabilities to accelerate growth within the organization.
Essential Job Responsibilities
1. Collects, cleans, organizes, and analyzes large datasets from internal and external sources.
2. Develops and maintains dashboards, reports, visualizations, and KPIs using BI tools to track performance and highlight trends.
3. Identifies patterns, opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement through data mining, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling.
4. Queries databases and produces standard or custom reports for executives, managers, and stakeholders.
5. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, defines requirements, and translates data into recommendations.
6. Maintains and update BI tools, databases, dashboards, and systems, including managing data flows, ensuring timely delivery of information, and managing technical support for reports and tools for stakeholders.
7. Ensures data accuracy, integrity, security, and compliance while updating BI tools, databases, and systems.
8. Provides ad-hoc analysis and support data-driven strategies for growth, optimization, or problem-solving.
9. Develops and implements advanced data modeling and predictive analytics solutions to drive business growth.
Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in business analytics, computer science, statistics, business information technology, or a related field.
2. Excellent written and verbal communications and trouble-shooting skills, strong vendor management and negotiation skills, and strong database knowledge and experience.
3. Minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in data analytics roles leveraging BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
4. Technical skills: Proficiency in SQL for querying, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), Excel/advanced spreadsheets, and often Python or R for analysis. Knowledge of warehousing, ETL processes, and BI platforms.
5. Analytical skills: Strong data analysis, critical thinking, problem-solving, innovative drive, and ability to spot trends or insights in complex datasets.
6. Soft skills: Strong leadership experience and team management abilities, with experience in guiding and developing teams.
7. Attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and staying current with BI and AI technologies and industry trends.
8. Cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
9. Coach and mentor junior and mid-level business intelligence analysts, providing technical guidance, conducting code reviews, delivering training sessions, and offering constructive feedback to develop their analytical, SQL, data visualization, and problem solving skills while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and data driven excellence.
10. Broad knowledge of the financial services industry and an ability to apply and develop innovative analytics required.
