Job description

ComResource is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform cybersecurity assessments and audits for utility clients.
  • Conduct cybersecurity risk analysis and gap assessments.
  • Design and deploy cybersecurity solutions based on industry standards and best practices.
  • Develop and document cybersecurity policies, procedures, and plans.
  • Configure and install cybersecurity tools and systems including firewalls, antivirus, encryption, and authentication.
  • Perform vulnerability scanning, review cybersecurity frameworks, and support incident response.
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting for cybersecurity issues.
  • Monitor and report on cybersecurity performance and compliance.
  • Train and educate staff on cybersecurity awareness and best practices.
  • Research and stay current on emerging cybersecurity trends and technologies.

Essentials:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably in the utility sector.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO, and NERC.
  • Proficiency in cybersecurity tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and VPN.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clients and team members.
  • Willingness to travel and work on-site as required.

Desired:

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GSEC.
