Outpatient Physical Therapist
Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patient's needs, goals, and physician direction. This role includes the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that allow for effective return to community activities. The therapist serves as an educator of patients, families, students, coworkers, and self while performing other professional duties associated with patient care and therapy service development.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
  • Utilize clinical reasoning to develop treatment plans focused on patient discharge within an established length of stay.
  • Complete medical record documentation clearly, concisely, accurately, and timely, complying with federal and state guidelines.
  • Provide care under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approval parameters.
  • Participate in the student program, providing a positive learning environment with supervision and evaluations.
  • Create and actively pursue a personalized professional development plan.
  • Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
  • Understand and apply the organization's performance improvement methodology to enhance service quality.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
  • 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience required.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Active physical therapy license for the state where work will be performed.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with a Monday to Friday schedule.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
