Job description

Role:: Devops Engineer - (Need Min 12+ Yrs Exp)
Location:: Columbus, Ohio

6Months Contract

Contract - Day 1 Onsite
Primary Skills: Jenkins, Kubernetes, Automation

Experience : 10+ years

  • Job Description :10+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, Hands-on experience with pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Spinnaker, Jenkins, or similar)Strong understanding of DevOps, GitOps concepts, and Release Engineering practices.
  • Familiarity with the Java ecosystem (Maven, Gradle, JARs/WARs) sufficient to support deploymentsContainerization & Orchestration.
  • 5+ years of experience deploying and scaling microservices in Kubernetes (including AWS EKS).
  • Proficiency with Docker and containerization best practicesInfrastructure as Code experience (e.g., Terraform or similar)
  • Cloud & Infrastructure:Hands-on experience with cloud deployments, primarily on AWS core services (IAM, ECR, S3, CloudWatch).
  • High-level understanding of application infrastructure, system design, and platform architecture
  • Programming & Scripting:Proficiency in at least one programming language, with Go (Golang), Java strongly preferred for CLI tooling.
  • Familiarity with Python is a plus;

Monitoring & Observability:

  • Experience with monitoring and ops analysis tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or Datadog.Ability to develop automation tools for alerting, toil reduction, and technical debt management
  • Version Control & Collaboration:Hands-on expertise with Git/Bitbucket workflows.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban) and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience contributing to Sprint Planning, Refinement, and backlog grooming sessions.
  • Leadership & Communication:Demonstrated ability to lead a team of software engineers.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.Ability to coordinate across development teams, architects, and business stakeholdersExperience troubleshooting incidents and contributing to post-mortem processes.
  • Preferred Qualifications,

Capabilities & Skills.

  • Prior experience as an Engineering Lead or Technical Team Lead.
  • GitOps tooling experience .
  • Secrets management experience (AWS Secrets Manager)
  • Service mesh experience (Istio)
  • AWS and/or Kubernetes certifications
  • Familiarity with agentic coding concepts
