Job description

Position: Assistant Project Manager (ISG)
Reports to: VP of Integrated Systems Group
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Pay Range: $65,000 - $110,000
We consider several factors when preparing a compensation package for successful candidates.
Superior is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to help support our Integrated Systems team. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for helping make estimation and operations more efficient and will play a key role in our management, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration functions. This role is based at our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Integrated Systems estimating team by completing takeoffs, developing Bill of Materials (BOMs), requesting quotes, and preparing bids and proposals
  • Manage Request for Information (RFIs) creation, submission, and integration into project documents
  • Support project documentation, including estimates, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers throughout the project submittal process
  • Support the creation, submission, and management of change orders
  • Track project progress by maintaining contract documents and capturing jobsite photos
  • Monitor the project schedule and provide ongoing updates to Project Operations and Field Operations leaders
  • Work closely with the Foreman on the delivery of materials and equipment to the jobsite
  • Lead project close-out, including documentation, warranties, waivers, as-builts, and turnover materials (attic stock)
  • Begin developing an understanding of project finances by working closely with Project Operations and Finance leaders

Your Expertise
  • Required: You have earned your bachelor's degree in Construction Systems Management, Engineering, or a related field; a Construction Management certificate; or have equivalent field or project management experience
  • Bonus Points: You have prior experience with low-voltage, structured cabling, audiovisual, security, or other integrated systems.
  • Bonus Points: You hold an active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
