Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Strategic Market Insights Manager at Vertiv will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making through comprehensive market analysis and measurement. This position focuses on developing annual market models, creating strategic measurement plans, and ensuring the success of key initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in data management, measurement, and cross-functional collaboration.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the development and delivery of Vertiv's annual market model by analyzing market trends, customer behaviors, and competitive dynamics.
  • Conduct deep-dive market and customer analysis to uncover strategic opportunities, risks, and white spaces in existing and emerging segments.
  • Create and manage measurement plans to evaluate the effectiveness of corporate initiatives, campaigns, and strategic programs.
  • Develop and maintain accurate datasets and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI dashboards) to deliver clear, actionable insights to business leaders.
  • Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams-including strategy, product, sales, and finance-to ensure alignment on key assumptions and findings.
  • Present research findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, including clear narratives that translate complex data into business implications.
  • Track and report on market share performance across Vertiv's segments to inform investment and positioning strategies.
  • Support the continuous improvement of strategic insight frameworks, tools, and analytics processes.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in economics, statistics, business analytics, market research, computer science, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in market research, competitive intelligence, or strategic insights, ideally within a B2B industrial or technology environment.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI). Experience with Google Suite, survey platforms, and database tools is a plus.
  • Proven ability to translate complex datasets into meaningful insights and strategic implications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to executive audiences.
  • Demonstrated success working across functions in a matrixed, global organization.
  • Master's degree or MBA and experience in the data center, critical infrastructure, or industrial technology sector preferred.
