Job description

New Albany Country Club is looking for an experienced, skilled, versatile, licensed massage therapist to join our team.

*Must be able to work set evening and weekend hours.

Types of treatments include Deep tissue, Hot stone, Swedish, and pregnancy massage. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs consultation, therapy analysis, and verbal communication with every member seeking massage therapies.  Solicits information regarding medical conditions that may be impacted by therapy.
  • Performs all services for which training has been received in the allotted period.
  • Maintains treatment room in a prescribed sanitary condition.
  • Maintains therapies within the state guidelines of the Massage Therapy license.
  • Sanitizes all areas of the treatment room to protocol, including all instruments, tools, and appliances used for therapies.
  • Fresh linens are to be used for every member.
  • Maintains fully stocked therapy rooms.
  • Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor always.
  • Maintains good customer relations by answering questions and taking care of member’s concerns in a timely and knowledgeable manner.
  • Responds professionally and courteously to arriving and departing by providing accurate and timely information and services. Respond to guest inquiries regarding spa reservations, therapy descriptions, and member concerns in a timely and knowledgeable manner.  
  • Always maintains a positive and professional attitude.

Rate of Pay: Hourly Rate plus commission

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Certification from college, technical school, or accredited facility in Massage Therapy; and three to six months of related experience and/or training.
