Job description

Position Summary

Our client is a rapidly growing manufacturing organization seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. This high-impact role will oversee all aspects of finance, accounting, treasury, financial planning & analysis, and information technology while partnering closely with the CEO and operational leaders to drive profitable growth.


The ideal candidate is a strong business partner who can provide strategic insight while remaining involved in the day-to-day financial operations. This individual will play a key role in scaling the organization, improving financial processes, supporting operational decision-making, and helping position the company for continued expansion.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team on financial strategy and business performance.
  • Lead all accounting and finance functions, including general ledger, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, tax, payroll, and internal controls.
  • Develop and execute long-term financial strategies that support growth and operational excellence.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP.
  • Build and maintain financial models, KPIs, dashboards, and profitability analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with operations, supply chain, engineering, and sales leadership to improve margins, productivity, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process while monitoring performance against strategic objectives.
  • Manage banking relationships, cash flow forecasting, debt compliance, and working capital optimization.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance, accounting, and business processes through automation and technology.
  • Evaluate capital investments, acquisitions, and expansion opportunities through financial analysis and due diligence.
  • Oversee risk management, insurance, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting, finance, and IT teams while building scalable processes to support future growth.
  • Present financial results and strategic recommendations to ownership, the Board of Directors, and other key stakeholders.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • MBA strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including experience as a Controller, VP of Finance, or CFO.
  • Manufacturing industry experience is required.
  • Proven experience leading budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and strategic analysis.
  • Experience developing scalable financial processes within a growing organization.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and leveraging technology to improve business performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with executive leadership and influence key business decisions.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team development skills.

  • Manufacturing operations.
  • Capital expenditure planning and ROI analysis.
  • Mergers and acquisitions or post-acquisition integration.
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environments.
  • Experience supporting private equity-backed or rapidly growing businesses.
