Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab Full Time / Competitive Pay / 15K Sign On Bonus Registered Nurse Job Summary:

As an RN in the Cardiac Catheterization Department, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to individuals undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including cardiologists, technicians, and support staff, to deliver high-quality, safe, and compassionate care to patients.

Registered Nurse Job Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program for nursing education, BSN preferred.
  • Current licensure to practice professional nursing in the State of Ohio.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification required.
  • Certification in specialty is preferred; other as noted below for specific units as indicated within 1 year of hire:
    • Cardiology: ACLS required; NAPSE required within one year for the Pacemaker Clinic.
  • Previous work experience in a patient setting preferred.
    • Cardiology: minimum of 1-year critical care experience required; 3 years preferred
Registered Nurse Key Responsibilities
  • Assesses and reassesses the patient's condition through observation, patient and family interviews, physician diagnoses, diagnostic results, and relevant input from other healthcare providers. This includes evaluating functional and cognitive deficits related to the patient's transition to the community.
  • Utilizes professional knowledge to develop or revise nursing care plans based on unit guidelines, criteria, and expected outcomes for each assigned patient.
  • Collaborates with rehabilitation team members to design, develop, and implement a comprehensive rehabilitation treatment and care plan that addresses both emergent medical issues and functional, self-care, and cognitive deficits.
  • Delivers safe and effective rehabilitation nursing interventions in an organized, efficient, and prioritized manner to meet identified patient needs.
  • Continuously evaluates and reassesses the patient's response to nursing interventions and progress toward expected outcomes, including preparation for community discharge.
  • Maintains clear and effective communication with team members, physicians, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for the patient.
