Commercial Masonry ForemanLocation: Columbus, OhioRELOCATION TO COLUMBUS, Ohio will be considered for an experienced Commercial Masonry Foreman 10 YEARS EXPERIENCE Position SummaryThe Commercial Masonry Foreman is responsible for leading and supervising masonry crews on commercial construction projects. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards while coordinating daily field operations and workforce productivity.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and lead masonry crews (brick, block, stone) on commercial job sitesPlan, assign, and monitor daily work activities to meet project schedulesRead and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plansEnsure compliance with OSHA safety standards and company safety policiesCoordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractors to maintain workflowPerform layout, measurement, and quality control checksTrain, mentor, and develop crew members and apprenticesCommunicate progress, issues, and manpower needs with Project Managers and SuperintendentsMaintain daily reports, time tracking, and production logsTroubleshoot field issues and ensure efficient problem resolutionQualifications10+ years of masonry experience (commercial preferred)5+ years in a leadership/foreman roleStrong knowledge of commercial masonry methods, materials, and toolsAbility to read blueprints and manage layout workProven experience leading crews (typically 5-20 workers)OSHA 30 certification (required)Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to work outdoors in varying conditionsPreferred ExperienceExperience with large-scale commercial, industrial, or institutional projectsUnion or non-union crew leadership experienceFamiliarity with scheduling software or construction management toolsCompensation (Columbus, Ohio Market)Typical Pay RangeHourly: $30 - $40/hour - Overtime availableAnnual: $60,000 - $85,000+ Benefits (Typical)Health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysCompany vehicle or allowance (in some roles)Bonus potential based on project performanceIdeal Candidate ProfileA hands-on leader who can balance production with people management, drive jobsite efficiency, and maintain high-quality masonry work while keeping crews safe and motivated.
