Job Overview:
Senneca Holdings is looking for an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining press brake machines to bend and shape metal components according to precise specifications. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring the production of high-quality commercial doors and components that meet our stringent quality standards.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, or straighten metal workpieces.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to determine appropriate machine settings and material requirements.
  • Adjust machine settings, including backstops, ram depth, and pressure, to ensure precision bending and forming.
  • Perform quality checks on completed workpieces, measuring dimensions and angles to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
  • Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or issues and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members, including engineers and production supervisors, to optimize production processes and meet deadlines.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including material usage, machine settings, and output.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and adjust machinery.
  • Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and protractors.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.

Desired Qualifications:
Technical certification or training in machine operation, metal fabrication, or a related field.
Experience with CNC press brake machines is a plus.
Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in an industrial setting.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
