The ideal candidate will have experience in impact biomechanics and an interest in developing into a high level vehicle accident reconstructionist, analyzing vehicle collisions and biomechanical exposure. *Please note that this particular opportunity requires either a bachelor or master's degree in mechanical engineering. Learn More: https://sealimited.com/capability/biomechanics/ Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:Conduct field investigations on incidents involving all types of vehicles and mechanical equipmentPerform analysis of incidents involving motor vehicle collisionsApply engineering principles in accordance with industry standards to investigation analysisConduct vehicular accident reconstruction analysisEmploy forensic investigation techniques in the areas of impact biomechanics, occupant protection, and vehicular accident reconstruction analysisConduct unbiased investigations for various types of clientsPrepare and submit written reports that document failure(s), extent of loss, cause(s) and recommended remediationExplain to clients, in layman's terms, your investigation, analysis and what you determined to be the cause of the failureDeliver professional presentations, develop client relationships and promote self to client groupsAbility to support conclusions by appropriate expert testimony in legal proceedings including deposition and trialMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending company-paid educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societiesResponsible for retention and development of client relationsAccept and integrate constructive feedback into job performanceRegular and predictable presence at work Position Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering requiredMaster's Degree in engineering, biomechanics, biomedical, or related field preferredCoursework and experience in impact biomechanics is a plusMinimum of two years of post-academic engineering experience outside of academiaP. E. registration through testing or ability to obtain within twenty four (24) monthsVehicular knowledge and desire to learn accident reconstruction Thorough understanding of physics and engineering dynamics, with the ability to apply laws of motion to the analysis of incidentsPublic speaking experience a plusExceptional interpersonal and communication skills Physical Requirements:Ability to travel 25% of the timeAbility to maneuver in and around an accident siteAbility to lift 50 lbs.Ability to carry equipment to and from job sitesAbility to effectively communicate verbally and in writingAbility to drive in all conditions Ability to fly on airplanesAbility to visually inspect job sites and relevant artifactsAbility to wear personal protective equipment as required by the work siteAbility to obtain required certificationsAbility to accept and integrate constructive feedback into job performanceRegular and predictable presence S-E-A places a strong value on employee health and wellness across the company.
