Job description

Job Title: Azure API Center / Azure API Management (APIM) Developer

Location: Onsite Columbus , OH 

Long term contract 

Experience: 3-5 Years

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Azure API Center / APIM Developer to design, develop, secure, and manage enterprise APIs on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Azure API Management, Azure API Center, Terraform, CI/CD automation, API governance, and Azure integrations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design, develop, and manage APIs using Azure API Management (APIM).
  2. Configure and maintain Azure API Center for API cataloging and governance.
  3. Implement APIM policies for authentication, authorization, rate limiting, caching, transformations, and error handling.
  4. Automate APIM and API Center deployments using Terraform and GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps.
  5. Manage API lifecycle using OpenAPI/Swagger standards.
  6. Integrate APIs with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, App Services, and Key Vault.
  7. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize API performance using Application Insights.

Required Skills

  1. 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Azure API Management (APIM).
  2. Experience with Azure API Center and API governance.
  3. Strong knowledge of Terraform, GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps, OpenAPI/Swagger.
  4. Experience implementing OAuth2, Azure AD, JWT, and mTLS security.
  5. Production support and troubleshooting experience for APIM environments.
