Job description

JOB TITLE: Aerospace Assembly Technician
LOCATION: Heath, OH
PAY RATE: $29.00/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (6 months with potential for extension)

  • Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

Qualifying Questions:

  • Are you a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance?

  • Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role?

  • Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary?

Summary: 

  • Assists with disassembly of systems components to support correction of failures or implement changes.

  • Assists with basic troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.

  • Performs validation and verification testing of systems and components.

  • Fabricates and modifies aerospace products according to specifications.

  • Assists with safe handling of aerospace vehicle including jacking, towing, and system operations.

  • Works with Beryllium and chemicals as required for fabrication and repair tasks.

  • Reads and understands basic engineering drawings and specifications for assembly and testing.

  • Uses hand tools and power tools for assembly and fabrication of equipment components.

  • Performs soldering and assembly of equipment components.

  • Works under microscope for detailed assembly and inspection of components.

Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • 1 or more years of experience working with tools and following work instructions.

  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.

  • Willingness to work with Beryllium and chemicals.

  • Preferred: Experience in inspection of parts, components, assemblies, or units.

  • Preferred: 1 or more years experience soldering and assembly of equipment components.

  • Preferred: 1 or more years experience using hand tools and power tools.

  • Preferred: Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings and specifications.
