What you will do

In this vitalroleyou will provide technicalmechanical and electricalengineering support on all system/equipment optimization strategies, upgrades, replacements, repairs, and modifications. You will evaluate anddetermineif process equipment maintenance, and technical cleaning systems aremaintainedin compliance with all applicable industry standards, regulatory standards and FDA standards in the Inspection and Packaging area.

Responsibilities:

  • Take part in the coordination of tech support on engineering, regulatory, compliance, quality,technical cleaning, validation, and mechanical/electricalequipment issues.
  • Assistduring regulatory agency inspections. Provide technical support in response to the FDA and other regulatory agencies.
  • Assistin planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities.
  • Complete advanced maintenance activities oroperateand monitor sophisticated plant support equipmentin accordance withCFRs,cGMPs, SOPs, job plans and Amgen policies.
  • Investigate complex issues or problems
  • Assistwithmaintainingan up-to-date working spare parts inventory system for the equipment/systems.
  • Createmaintenance procedures andassistin changes tooptimizethe maintenance program, trouble shoot and repair equipment/system failures.
  • Develop technical guides andtrainingsfor repetitive tasks.
  • Provide training toothers for continuous team development.
  • Be the point of contact for leadingateam of technicians onmechanical and electrical breakdowns.
  • Identifyimprovement opportunities andleadsmallprojects.
  • Assistplant engineering in the evaluation and implementation of engineering improvements, policy changes, complianceimprovementsand optimization programs.
  • Interpret and review utility, process system/equipment, plumbing, ductwork plans, architectural, and P&IDs.

Basic Qualifications:

Master's degree

OR

Bachelor's degreeand 2 years of Technical Engineering experience

OR

Associate's degree and6years of Technical Engineering experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and8years of Technical Engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Educational background in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical degree

Experience repairing mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment (experience with packaging equipment preferred)

Experience working inin a regulated industry (ideally GMP, Pharmaceutical)

Knowledge of Reliability Maintenance and Process Optimization

Knowledge in continuous improvement tools and methodologies

Familiarized withComputerMaintenance Management Software(preferably Maximo 7)

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Understanding in PLC, Computer Serialization, Packaging Equipment, Vision Inspection System (Cognex Vision System andSystechSerialization)

Excellent organizational, project management, problemsolvingand technical writing capability

Strong communicationskills: verbal / written, collaboration,influencingand facilitation

MS Office: Word, Excel, Power Point

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
