This role is responsible for the management of personnel, operations, and physical environments that support hands-on clinical skills training across the veterinary curriculum. The position ensures that laboratories and assessments are fully staffed, equipped, compliant, and operationally ready.

The position reports to the Associate Dean for Education and Student Success and requires some instructional lab support regarding set-up, teaching, and assessment as needed depending on specific times of year and colleague schedules, but at least 50% of the successful candidate's time will be reserved for managerial duties.
In addition to operational leadership, the individual contributes directly to laboratory setup and instruction alongside the Clinical Skills technician team.
The Clinical Skills program delivers core and elective hands-on training within the Competency-Based Veterinary Education (CBVE 2.0®) curriculum. Success in this role within the first 6 months: includes developing and implementing a comprehensive annual schedule that organizes staffing, supply ordering, and operational support across all four years of the curriculum.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring the quality, consistency, and innovation of clinical skills education at Ohio State.
