Description
Steelcase is hiring a seasoned, self-directed Client Business Manager to drive growth within the New York City market by managing strategic client relationships, expanding business within key end-user accounts, and developing new opportunities across a complex multi-dealer territory. You will partner closely with Steelcase dealers while building direct relationships with client decision-makers.
You'll Support Meaningful Work By:
  • Developing and growing relationships with key client accounts.
  • Fostering new business opportunities with customer influencers.
  • Identifying and closing new business opportunities.
  • Collaborating closely with Steelcase dealer partners and internal teams.
  • Leading account planning and opportunity strategies.
  • Managing contract discussions and pricing negotiations.
  • Hosting client events, showroom tours, and networking engagements.
  • Maintaining accurate Salesforce CRM data.
  • Limited travel.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of consultative B2B sales or business development experience.
  • Experience negotiating contracts and pricing agreements.
  • Prior experience in the contract furniture industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business growth.
  • CRM proficiency, preferably Salesforce.
  • Based in New York City or surrounding areas.

Desired Skills and Experience:
  • A&D relationships in the NYC market.
  • Dealer-based sales experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree
