Purpose of Position

The objective of the function is to design and implement the CMDB and drive data integrity and correctness for Configuration Items thereby impacting the subsequent business outcomes for EY, with a scalable capacity to support changes in EY technology requirements.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • The Configuration Management Data Base (CMDB) Analyst provides the experience, deep process understanding and foresight to build and maintain a leading-edge, world-class CMDB program
  • CMDB Analyst is responsible for the lifecycle of  IT assets (Acquisition through End of Life) as well as building and maintain Configuration Management Data Base (CMDB) in ServiceNow as well as other tools used across the enterprise.
  • The role is responsible for ensuring complete and accurate IT Hardware Asset information and IT Software Asset Management, their relationship to IT Services in the CMDB.
  • Responsible for Lifecycle of assets, asset tracking and projects related to asset management.
  • Responsible for management of asset vulnerabilities and lifecycle updates
    Drives Key Performance Indicators and aligns them with strategic technology goals
  • Enabling operational efficiency, as well as identifying opportunities for cost savings/avoidance and risk mitigation.
  • Oversees the development of strategy, process alignment, performance measurement, training, and communications
  • Oversees analysis of the environment; ability to identify potential points of failure, areas for improving administration, and identifying pain points and bottlenecks
  • Leads root cause analysis efforts
Minimum Education
  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
Minimum Experience
  • 2 years' experience working with ServiceNow
  • 2+ years in a deskside support role
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow Incident Management
  • ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation training, or higher level of ITIL Certification or willingness to get the certification
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

This individual should possess a combination of technical skills, analytical abilities, and leadership attributes. To qualify for the role you must have:

  • 3+ years or more of practical IT ServiceNow/CMDB experience
  • Understanding of IT service offerings, standards, policies, business strategies and financials
  • Excellent Knowledge of: ITIL Service Management processes, Six Sigma methodology, Asset Management tools (ServiceNow preferably), analytical and BI tools (Tableau, Alteryx, PowerBI, Spotfire or equivalent), Common Service Data Model, CMDB build strategy
  •  Good knowledge of IT Services functions and their responsibilities and strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • The ability to work and team effectively with business, management personnel, and diverse and geographically dispersed teams
  • Good reporting skills
  • Possess innovative mindset by being open to new ideas and works comfortably with global teams   
  • Excellent English language skills (verbal and written), 
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and basic project management skills
  • Good presentation skills with ability to present material clearly and concisely
  • Excellent awareness of different cultures and working practices across the regions
  • Proven experience in working in, and basic management of, diverse and geographically dispersed teams
