Job description
You will serve as a subject matter resource in air distribution systems, providing guidance on installation, performance, and compliance with codes and standards. Working across Sales, Marketing, Technical Services, and Product Management, you will help translate technical insights into practical solutions that improve customer outcomes and support business growth.
POSITION LOCATION: Houston (up to ~50% domestic travel)
What You Will Be Doing:
- Deliver classroom and hands-on training for internal teams, distributors, and contractors on air distribution products, applications, and installation practices.
- Provide technical support by addressing field questions, resolving application challenges, and supporting specification and compliance requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter resource for fiberglass air distribution systems, including thermal, moisture, acoustical, and indoor air quality considerations.
- Partner with Sales and Product teams to support customer engagement and ensure effective adoption of products and systems.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including installation guides, specifications, and training materials.
- Support product and system innovation by sharing field insights, identifying unmet needs, and contributing to solution development.
- Monitor industry trends, codes, standards, and competitor offerings to inform technical strategies and support market positioning.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Technical teams to deliver presentations, webinars, and technical content for internal and external audiences.
- Participate in industry organizations and support engagement with codes and standards bodies.
- Maintain training equipment and support safe work practices, including adherence to safety standards and documentation requirements.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience, with 5+ years of experience in commercial building air distribution or related industries.
- Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, fabrication, and insulation applications, including thermal performance, condensation control, and system design considerations.
- Experience working with insulation materials, installation techniques, and relevant testing standards.
- Familiarity with building codes, specifications, and approval processes related to air distribution systems.
- Experience providing training or presenting to contractors, distributors, engineers, or sales teams.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to a range of audiences.
- Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams to deliver solutions and support business objectives.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to diagnose issues and recommend practical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in construction, fabrication, or mechanical systems installation.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with ASTM, UL, and other relevant industry standards.
- Experience developing technical training content or digital learning materials.
- Working knowledge of tools such as Microsoft Office and digital presentation platforms.
