Job Title:Product Specialist 4 UX Designer

Location: Columbus, OH

Duration: 12 Months + Extension

Bill Rate: $65/hour

Job Type: W-2 Contract

Job Description

We are seeking a UX Designer to help evolve our design system and create exceptional user experiences across our products. This role is ideal for a designer who enjoys working in a structured, design-system-first environment and wants to make a meaningful impact through thoughtful design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create interactive prototypes for websites, design-system components, and patterns.
  • Refine designs based on user testing, feedback, and usability data.
  • Design and iterate components and patterns to improve user experience.
  • Guide internal and external designers in applying design-system guidelines and best practices.
  • Conduct design reviews and promote a collaborative feedback culture.
  • Advocate for accessibility, inclusive design, and diverse user needs.
  • Create and maintain design-system documentation, component guidelines, usage instructions, and best practices.
  • Maintain and evolve the design system in Figma, including components, patterns, and documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with designers, developers, and other cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of professional UX design experience.
  • Portfolio demonstrating interaction design, prototyping, and component design work.
  • Proficiency in Figma.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and usability best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate design decisions.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers and designers.
  • Experience with user testing and iterative design processes.
  • Ability to work with component-based design and design-system concepts.
Highly Desired Skills
  • Experience with design systems and component libraries.
  • Experience with WCAG/accessibility and inclusive design.
  • Understanding of design tokens or design-system tooling.
