The Senior Quality Manager is responsible for leading the Quality function for the Jefferson City, TN facility with a primary focus on driving continuous improvement, process optimization, and operational excellence across manufacturing. This role develops and executes strategies that improve process capability, product quality, supplier performance, and manufacturing efficiency while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The position oversees Quality operations, quality systems, ISO compliance, and cross-functional initiatives that improve customer satisfaction, reduce waste, and deliver sustainable business results.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving manufacturing processes, product quality, supplier quality, and operational performance using structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Drive process optimization through data analysis, process capability studies, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Quality to identify and implement solutions that improve quality, reduce waste, lower costs, and increase productivity.
  • Create, establish, maintain, and continuously improve quality systems, standard work, operating procedures, and quality metrics that support business objectives.
  • Lead quality improvement projects focused on improving process capability, reducing defects, improving first-pass yield, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze quality trends and create and own action plans based on quality trends.
  • Oversee internal and supplier quality activities, quality audits, corrective actions, and quality investigations to ensure robust manufacturing and supplier processes.
  • Maintain ISO certifications and ensure compliance with internal quality systems, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and improve quality procedures, work instructions, and process improvement training to promote operational excellence and standardized processes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve complex manufacturing and quality issues while driving accountability and long-term process improvements.
  • Build a culture of continuous improvement by coaching and developing quality personnel while promoting collaboration across manufacturing, engineering, and operations.
  • Manage departmental budgets, staffing, performance management, and resource planning.
  • Communicate quality performance, improvement initiatives, and project outcomes through meaningful metrics and reporting.
  • Ensure personnel have the resources necessary to safely and effectively achieve quality and operational objectives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or similar engineering fields. Weld engineering or technical background or machining background
  • Eight (8) or more years of experience within Manufacturing, Quality or a related field

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced training/experience in the use of statistical techniques including CP/CPK
  • MS Windows, Word, Excel, Project, Outlook and MAPICS/Infor XA ERP experience
  • Educated on GD&T, weld quality/tooling, fabrication experience.

Pay Range:

$103,300.00 - $177,700.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
