🔧 What You'll Do

As a Class 1 Injection Well Operator, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe and compliant operation of our wastewater disposal systems.

Daily Responsibilities

Operate and monitor the Class 1 Injection Well system, including:

  • Pumps
  • Filters
  • Instrumentation
  • Monitoring equipment

Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure reliable operations

Troubleshoot equipment and system issues as they arise

Maintain compliance with:

  • FDEP regulations
  • Federal requirements
  • State regulations
  • Local environmental standards

Collect samples and assist with system analysis

Prepare regulatory reports and documentation

Monitor alarms and respond to system alerts or operational issues

Maintain detailed operating records including:

  • Injection volumes
  • Pressures
  • Maintenance activities
  • Compliance documentation

Work closely with:

  • District Management
  • Engineers
  • Environmental Consultants
  • Regulatory Agencies

Assist with loading and handling leachate tanker trucks as needed

Participate in ongoing safety and operational training

Strong understanding of Class 1 Injection Well regulations

Mechanical aptitude

Experience with SCADA or similar monitoring systems preferred
