    Job description

    We've partnered with a well-established insurance defense law firm that is actively seeking an Associate Attorney. This is a strong opportunity for an attorney looking to take ownership of a docket, gain trial experience, and work in a collaborative, well-structured environment.

    Practice Overview

    • Insurance defense for large carrier clients

    • Personal Injury litigation experience preferred

    • Plaintiff-side attorneys are welcome to apply

    Ideal Candidate

    • 2-5 years of litigation experience.

    • Background in insurance defense or personal injury preferred (plaintiff-side considered).

    • Demonstrated stability (no frequent job changes).

    • Strong communication and responsiveness.

    • Willingness to try cases and manage matters independently.

    • Active Texas Bar license in good standing.

    Role Responsibilities

    • Fully manage a docket of approximately 30 cases.

    • Handle matters from inception through resolution/trial.

    • Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery.

    • Conduct depositions, hearings, and mediations.

    • Communicate professionally and timely with clients and team members.

    Work Structure -

    • Hybrid schedule: Attorneys typically in-office Tuesday-Thursday.

    • Staff is in-office full-time.

    • Billable requirement: 500 hours per quarter.

    Benefits

    • Firm pays 50% of medical insurance

    • Optional dental and vision coverage (employee-paid)

    • 401(k) eligibility after 1 year

    • Firm matches 100% up to 3%

    • 50% match for contributions at 4-5%

    • 10 PTO days plus standard firm holidays
