Summary:

In this role, you will lead insurance services initiatives and manage healthcare insurance accounts to support operational excellence across Purchase Services. You will oversee project execution, renewal activities, vendor and carrier coordination, and insurance administration while partnering with internal and external clients to ensure alignment, compliance, and successful delivery of business objectives. You will drive process improvements, manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, and support the optimization of insurance and benefits programs through strategic collaboration and operational oversight.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional insurance and Purchase Services initiatives from planning through execution.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and milestones to support successful delivery.
  • Establish and standardize project management tools, frameworks, and governance processes.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, clients, carriers, and vendors to drive alignment and execution.
  • Provide project updates, risk assessments, and performance reporting to leadership and vendor partners.
  • Manage healthcare insurance accounts, including renewals, contract documentation, and coverage administration.
  • Lead the renewal lifecycle from carrier release through implementation and completion.
  • Oversee billing reconciliation activities and support financial accuracy across assigned accounts.
  • Coordinate RFP activities, vendor evaluations, and implementation efforts related to insurance and benefits programs.
  • Drive operational improvements to enhance workflows, efficiency, and service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Active Accident and Health, Life, Property and Casualty insurance license in good standing required.
  • Experience supporting hospital or health system clients highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with agency management systems such as Zywave preferred.
  • Experience managing healthcare insurance renewals, contract administration, and billing reconciliation.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects or operational initiatives.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $88,900.00 to $155,500.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
