Samaritan seeks a dynamic, distinguished executive to serve as its next Laboratory Director. This position is responsible for managing, coordinating, and performing the day-to-day operations and workflow of the Laboratory operations. In this role, the Laboratory Director will assist the Chief Administrative Officer with the oversight and implementation of facility-related operational planning, budgets, and workflow processes. The Laboratory Director is responsible for employee selection, training, performance evaluations, and relations. The individual in this position shall maintain the highest standards of professional performance for the benefit of the patient, physician, and community, in accordance with the professional standards and ethics of Medical Technologists.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of post-graduate experience in an MLS role, preferably in a hospital environment, at least two years of experience in a supervisory or management experience in a hospital setting is desirable. A bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science plus four years of training and/or experience in high complexity testing is mandatory. Must meet CLIA requirements for a high complexity laboratory and have nationally recognized certification as MLS (ASCP or equivalent). A Washington State Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification is required. Basic Life Support Heartsaver (HS) level to be completed within three months of employment.
Salary range: $136,893.35 - $180,700.24 depending on years of relevant experience.
