Your Responsibilities
  • Executing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic examinations, and developing personalized care strategies
  • Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses while collaborating with physicians or working independently (based on your credentials)
  • Guiding patients and their families on injury prevention, wellness practices, and disease management strategies
  • Prescribing medications and therapies as authorized by your practice scope
  • Engaging in patient follow-ups and chronic care management
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care
  • Documenting patient information meticulously within electronic medical records (EMR)
Qualifications
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Essential Certifications
  • Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas
  • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialization
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
