Position Description: This position is responsible for constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, using carpenter's hand tools and power tools, and confirming to local building codes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform tasks involving physical labor on construction projects, including the following
Safety and Protection
Layout
Interior Framing
Cold Form Metal Framing
Gypsum Board Installation
Door, Frame and Hardware Installation
Bathroom Partitions
Acoustical Ceiling Installation
Millwork installation
Site Cleanup
*May perform other duties as necessary or required.
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at 0.00 - 0.00.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck. Turner Construction provides generous leave, health plans and retirement contributions that add to your bottom line.
Qualifications: Two (2) years minimum experience required. Experience with metal studs, drywall, acoustic ceilings, doors and hardware preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment: Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is sometimes exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
