Job Summary
The IT Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting complex enterprise network and security environments. This role requires deep technical expertise in network architecture, routing and switching, wireless technologies, and network security. The IT Engineer will lead efforts to ensure high availability, performance, and security across global IT infrastructure while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure network infrastructures across enterprise and global environments.
  • Develop and optimize network architectures to ensure reliability, performance, and efficient data flow.
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot routing and switching technologies, including BGP, OSPF, RIP, and TCP/IP.
  • Support and optimize WAN, SD-WAN, and software-defined networking solutions.
  • Manage enterprise network security solutions including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM tools, VPNs, and device hardening.
  • Oversee wireless network environments, including controller-based and cloud-managed wireless solutions.
  • Monitor network performance, proactively identify issues, and lead resolution of complex outages.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for network designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership, security teams, and other stakeholders to align network solutions with business needs.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers as needed.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering and infrastructure design.
  • Advanced knowledge of routing, switching, WAN technologies, and network protocols.
  • Strong experience with network security technologies, including firewalls, IPSec, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise network hardware such as routers, switches, load balancers, and wireless platforms.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network and performance issues in high-availability environments.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting global enterprise networks.
  • Hands-on experience with SDN and SD-WAN technologies.
  • Experience with network monitoring, traffic analysis, and performance optimization tools.
  • Prior experience mentoring or leading other technical professionals.
