Job description

SRCTec, LLC is currently seeking a Full-Time Associate Quality Technician for second shift operations. This position supports a dynamic, dedicated production team in a variety of quality functions which are critical to helping us meet customer requirements. These functions include but are not limited to inspection, process and product engineering support, and data analysis/trending.โ€ฏ Positions assigned to 2nd shift are paid a shift differential of 10%.  

What Youโ€™ll Do 

  • Perform manual and automated quality inspections on components, assemblies, and finished productsโ€ฏโ€ฏโ€ฏ 
  • Support Quality Control as the first line of escalation in judgment calls, providing timely and accurate decision-making assistance to ensure compliance with quality standards and prompt resolution of quality-related issuesโ€ฏโ€ฏ 
  • Identify failure trends and escalate systemic process and performance issues, improving overall product quality and process efficiencyโ€ฏโ€ฏ 
  • Verify equipment setup to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standardsโ€ฏโ€ฏโ€ฏ 
  • Provide training and support to manufacturing and quality personnel to enhance overall capabilities and knowledge in quality controlโ€ฏโ€ฏ 
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues through the corrective action processโ€ฏโ€ฏ 
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and improved quality in manufacturing processesโ€ฏโ€ฏ 
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in quality controlโ€ฏโ€ฏ 

What Youโ€™ll Bring  

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent and training from a technical trade school or military technical schoolโ€ฏโ€ฏ 
  • Experience: 3+ years of related experience. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceโ€ฏโ€ฏ 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skillsโ€ฏ 
  • Ability to work independently and be self-sufficient while managing multiple tasksโ€ฏโ€ฏ 
  • Strong computer software skills and aptitude to learn new softwareโ€ฏโ€ฏโ€ฏ 
  • Attention to safety, quality, and performance; strong communication skillsโ€ฏโ€ฏโ€ฏ 
  • Excellent work ethic with the understanding that excellence is a habitโ€ฏโ€ฏโ€ฏ 

Ways to Stand Out

  • IPC Certifications (EX: IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, J-STD-001) 
  • 3+ years of related experience in circuit card inspectionโ€ฏโ€ฏ 
  • Familiarity of conformal coat defectsโ€ฏโ€ฏ 
  • Solder inspection or application experienceโ€ฏโ€ฏ 
  • CMM operation experience (Zeiss Calypso)โ€ฏโ€ฏ 
  • Experience performing inspections based on engineering prints and specificationsโ€ฏโ€ฏ 
  • Auditing experienceโ€ฏโ€ฏ

Total compensation for this role is market competitive. The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $23/hour - $27/hour.
