Description
Position Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our landscaping business as a Laborer. As a Laborer, you will work alongside our landscaping team to perform a variety of manual tasks to support the completion of landscaping projects. Your physical stamina, attention to detail, and willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions will contribute to the success of our operations.
Responsibilities:
Landscape Maintenance:
    • Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of landscapes, including mowing, edging, weeding, and pruning.
    • Plant trees, shrubs, flowers, and other greenery according to the design and specifications.
    • Install and maintain irrigation systems, ensuring proper watering of plants.
    • Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other chemicals as instructed and follow safety guidelines.

Construction and Installation:
    • Assist in the installation of hardscape features, such as walkways, patios, and retaining walls.
    • Assist in the installation of landscape elements, including mulch, rocks, and decorative features.
    • Support the construction of fences, decks, and other outdoor structures.
    • Carry and transport materials, tools, and equipment to job sites.

Equipment and Tool Operation:
    • Operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment, such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and power tools.
    • Safely handle and operate heavy machinery, such as skid steers and excavators, if trained and authorized.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks on tools and equipment to ensure their proper functioning.

Site Preparation and Cleanup:
    • Assist in the preparation of job sites, including clearing debris, leveling ground, and removing obstacles.
    • Load and unload materials and equipment at job sites.
    • Clean up job sites after project completion, ensuring proper disposal of waste and debris.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and storage facilities.

Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
    • Report any safety hazards, incidents, or injuries to the supervisor immediately.
    • Follow instructions and guidance provided by supervisors regarding safe work practices.

Team Collaboration:
    • Work collaboratively with other team members to accomplish project goals.
    • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.
    • Assist team members with tasks as needed and promote a positive work environment.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in landscaping or outdoor labor is preferred but not required.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions.
  • Basic knowledge of landscaping practices, tools, and equipment is a plus.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, and manipulate heavy objects and equipment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies.
  • Valid driver's license is preferred but not required.
