What is the opportunity?

We are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our Human Resources team in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In the role of Human Resources Coordinator,you will have the opportunity to:
  • Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
  • Manage the full candidate experience, including interview coordination, travel support, and prompt responses to communications from applicants and staff
  • Conduct thorough candidate evaluations, including background checks, social media reviews, and drug screenings
  • Prepare and issue formal offer letters and onboarding documentation, ensuring candidates are properly transitioned into employment
  • Administer necessary assessments and maintain accurate applicant records and HR system updates throughout the hiring lifecycle
  • Support internal functions by handling reimbursement, vendor setup, and HR administrative tasks for seamless operations
  • Other duties as assigned

What are the qualifications?

  • As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:
  • Associate's degree and at least two (2) years of related human resources, recruiting, or administrative experience; or equivalent combination of training/education and experience.
  • Strong commitment to customer service
  • Strong attention to detail, exhibiting patience and diligence
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to work successfully within a team environment
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and general office software, and competent to learn other software and applications as needed
  • Experience using an applicant tracking system and an HRIS preferred
