NEUTRON
Neutron is a medium lift launch vehicle capable of delivering the mega constellations of tomorrow, high assurance payloads, and human spaceflight. As a highly reusable launch platform, Neutron will deliver a highly cost-effective and reliable launch solution leveraging Rocket Lab's proven execution history with the Electron program. WELDER III - B SHIFT
Based out of Rocket Lab Headquarters in Long Beach, California the Welder III will weld and fabricate various fluid systems and sub-assembly components for the Rutherford and Archimedes Rocket engines.
WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:

• Follow procedures to set up and operate our welding systems.
• Weld assemblies according to work orders, blueprints and verbal instructions.
• Follow blueprints and meet product specifications within tight tolerances.

YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS AS A WELDER III:

• 5+ years of experience in welding with a focus on advanced techniques.
• Experience in industries such as Aerospace, Automotive, Shipbuilding, or Construction.
• Familiarity with industry standards and codes (e.g., ASME, ANSI, ISO, D17.1).
• Proficient in various welding techniques, including manual GTAW(TIG), OTW (Orbital Tube Welding), Laser Welding, Lathe Welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Experience welding on .011 - .250.

THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience with welding on different materials such as Inconel, Monel, Stainless 300-400 series.
• Experience working with 3D printed parts and exotic alloys.
• Experience in metal fabrication and assembly.
• Experience with Deburring and using pencil grinders.
• Capable of doing welding fit ups.
• Capable of supporting the grinding department.

CERTIFICATIONS

• Certified Welder.
• Certifications in specialized welding processes (TIG / Brazing process).
• Certification for specific materials (e.g., Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Titanium, and Inconel).

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Willing to work Monday - Thursday (3:15pm - 1:45am)
• Stand and walk for entire shift (8+ hours) on various work surfaces
• Climb ladders and work at elevated height small spaces, awkward positions, and tight areas as needed
• Perform repetitive motions including bending, twisting, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, and stooping
• Use hands with precision to handle, control, and operate tools, instruments, and equipment
• Lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment up to 25 lbs.
• Work in varied environments including production floors, equipment areas, and field locations with exposure to noise, temperature variations, and moving machinery
• Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and varied shifts as operational needs require

Level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
