We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Engineer to support our commercial Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) construction projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your career in a design-build environment, gaining hands-on experience in project coordination, estimating, scheduling, and technical support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support internal teams across engineering, purchasing, construction, and accounting departments to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Coordinate procurement of materials, delivery timelines, and field installation processes.

  • Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation, including RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, daily reports, and procurement logs.

  • Track labor hours, material usage, and project costs, updating progress reports for management.

  • Attend kick-off, progress, and subcontractor coordination meetings, providing clear communication across teams.

  • Conduct site visits to assess installation progress, identify and resolve field challenges, and ensure alignment with design intent.

  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with subcontractors, clients, vendors, and project stakeholders.

  • Participate in ongoing efforts to improve internal processes, workflows, and project delivery.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in project coordination or project engineering, preferably within MEP construction or design-build environments.

Skills:

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with AutoCAD and Bid Tracer is a plus.

  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

  • Ability to travel to job sites in the local region.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

  • Capable of performing physical site inspections, including climbing ladders and navigating active job sites.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive salary based on experience.

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.

  • 401(k) plan with company match.

  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) participation.

  • Paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave.

  • Access to training programs, mentorship, and career development within a growing, employee-owned company.
