Job description

Job Summary:
Redfin is revolutionizing the real estate industry by using data, beautiful software, and innovative design to enhance the home-buying and selling process. As a full stack Software Developer I, you will contribute to building engaging web and mobile experiences while ensuring high-quality feature delivery through automated testing and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
• Use tools and technology across all layers of the development stack, from JavaScript, React and React Native to Java, Spring, SQL, Kafka, and an array of AWS technologies to build engaging and intuitive web and mobile experiences, including using approved AI code generation tools to document, architect, and create code.
• Work with the team to design elegant technical solutions for complex problems that involve multiple users and systems while maintaining a clean, understandable user experience.
• Deliver features on-time and with high quality through consistent use of automated testing, monitoring, feature flags, and other common engineering practices.
• Actively contribute to a high-trust team environment through code reviews, peer feedback, and knowledge sharing.
• Work closely with our product, program, and ops partners to understand our business and coordinate efforts when rolling out new features.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 1-3 years of experience developing full-stack, customer-facing applications.
• Experience with JavaScript, React and React Native.
• Experience with Java, Spring, Hibernate, and Postgres.
• Experience being part of a team developing large scale apps backed by relational databases.
• Experience using AI code generation tools such as GitHub CoPilot, Anthropic Claude Code, Cursor, or similar.
• Ability to design elegant technical solutions for complex problems.
• Ability to deliver features on-time and with high quality through consistent use of automated testing, monitoring, feature flags, and other common engineering practices.
• Ability to actively contribute to a high-trust team environment through code reviews, peer feedback, and knowledge sharing.
• Ability to work closely with product, program, and ops partners to understand business needs.
• Curiosity and willingness to take risks and champion new ideas.
• Excitement to grow technical and project leadership skills.
