Job description

As a Data Engineer II with a focus on Snowflake AI, you will leverage strong analytical skills paired with data engineering prowess to drive the next generation of data-driven products. You will specialize in data readiness for machine learning and LLM applications, sharing ownership of Redfin's Data Platform, business-critical data integrations, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate excels at building and optimizing new AI agents from the ground up, particularly those built in the AI capabilities on Snowflake.
About the Role
  • Design, develop, and support AI Data Agents built in Snowflake's Cortex suite to enable various parts of the business.
  • Partner with Analytics, Engineering, and Business teams to explore use cases where data powered AI agents can accelerate or unlock new possibilities.
  • Build and maintain CICD processes for your agents using Github and Terraform.
  • Own the creation of AI data products from end to end including thorough validation.
  • Help guide the future vision of the Data AI space at Redfin.

About You
  • 2+ years experience with a modern programming language (Python, Java, etc). Python is preferred.
  • 3+ years experience with complex SQL, data modeling, and database technologies (Postgres, MySQL, Snowflake, etc). Experience in Snowflake is required.
  • Proven experience working with semantic models and building data LLM agents.
  • Prior experience with Snowflake's AI suite (e.g., Cortex, Streamlit, Snowpark for Python) is highly preferred.
  • History with data analytics or data science is a plus.
  • Experience with both structured and unstructured data sets.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Experience with Git / Jenkins / Airflow / Docker / Kubernetes / Spark is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS / Azure / GCP) is a plus. AWS is preferred.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and function in a fast paced, constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to communicate well with both technical and non technical users.

The compensation information below is provided in compliance with all applicable job posting disclosure requirements. The compensation for this position is $119,900.00-$162,200.00. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus, incentives, and other employment-related benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401K retirement plan, and paid-time off.
