Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Interventional/Invasive Cardiologist, you will join Central Texas Heart Center (CTHC) in proud partnership with St. Joseph Health in Bryan, Texas. This is an unparalleled opportunity to become an integral part of the largest, most experienced, and most comprehensive provider of non-invasive, invasive, and interventional cardiology services in the Brazos Valley, within a thriving, established independent physician practice.

In this influential role, you will perform a fulfilling mix of clinical and procedural cardiology, leveraging state-of-the-art facilities including 3 cath labs conveniently located adjacent to St. Joseph Health. You will work within a supportive, collegial team of Interventional and Invasive Cardiologists and Advanced Practice Clinicians, all while enjoying a desirable 4 ½ day work-week and a manageable 1:5 call rotation that prioritizes work-life balance.

Every day you will:

  • Perform a diverse mix of approximately 60% clinic and 40% procedures, utilizing the full scope of your interventional and invasive cardiology expertise.
  • Work within state-of-the-art facilities, including 3 cath labs conveniently located adjacent to St. Joseph Health for seamless access to advanced inpatient care.
  • Collaborate alongside a highly skilled team including 4 Interventional Cardiologists, 1 Invasive Cardiologist, and 5 Advanced Practice Clinicians.
  • Enjoy a Monday-Friday schedule with a desirable 4 ½ day work-week, promoting a healthy work-life balance.
  • Participate in a manageable 1:5 call rotation, ensuring ample personal time.
  • Step into a substantial existing patient load from day one, allowing you to quickly build your practice and contribute to patient care.
  • Contribute to the largest, most experienced provider of cardiology services in the Brazos Valley, strengthening strong community ties.
  • Utilize modern EHR systems for efficient patient management and documentation.

To be successful in this role, you will be a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Interventional/Invasive Cardiologist with an active or eligible license to practice medicine in Texas. You will possess strong clinical and procedural skills in interventional and invasive cardiology (excluding structural heart), demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and be committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care within a collegial and patient-focused independent practice.

Understand, support, and implement the facility's mission to deliver healthcare to those in need. Ensure patient care and satisfaction consistently meet or exceed quality standards in all job responsibilities. Educate patients on clinical and managed care, actively participating as an effective clinic team member in task forces as appropriate. Meet productivity targets, effectively utilizing clinic financial and performance information to drive continuous improvement. Demonstrate a steadfast commitment to service and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor. Maintain strict confidentiality, protect sensitive data, and adhere to all organizational and departmental safety standards and guidelines. Work collaboratively with team members, exhibiting exceptional customer service in all interactions with physicians, patients, residents, visitors, staff, and the broader healthcare community. Adheres to and exhibits our core values:

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Interventional or Invasive Cardiology (following Cardiology board certification).
  • Active or eligible license in the state of Texas.

Preferred:

  • Strong clinical and procedural expertise in interventional and invasive cardiology (excluding structural heart).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an established independent physician practice, contributing to its reputation for excellence.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate cardiovascular care in a dynamic university town.

At Central Texas Heart Center you will find that our providers and staff strive to serve our patients with compassion and understanding as patients navigate their cardiac health. To better accommodate our patients we offer state-of-the-art cardiac testing, such as Echocardiograms, Nuclear PET, and Lexiscan Stress tests. We also offer vascular studies and free vein screenings all of which are located in our office for your convenience. We use the most current cardiac treatment methods to ensure that our patients receive the best care possible.
