Description
The Systems Analyst will be the initial contact for IT related issues. The System Analyst will gather all necessary information about problems and conduct advanced troubleshooting routines to resolve issues. Unresolved issues will be documented along with troubleshooting routines completed and assigned to the proper IT specialist for review and resolution. Duties include answering, logging, and tracking IT issues, documenting tickets, and escalating issues appropriately; diagnosis and repair of hardware and software problems for Desktops and Network Components, Diagnosis of and recommendation for hardware and software issues related to servers and backbone network equipment, and in addition will support wireless and desktop Telecommunications equipment.
Requirements
Responsibilities
  • Assist users experiencing problems with hardware, software, telecommunications and other computer related issues.
  • Track and report issues, escalate as appropriate, and help implement proactive, long-term solutions.
  • Build out and install personal computers, software and peripheral equipment as needed.
  • Build out and install Servers, software and peripheral equipment as needed.
  • Maintain Server room switches, battery backup units, and environmental monitoring system.
  • Configuration and deployment of wireless and desktop phone equipment. Configuration and maintenance of voice mailbox systems and telecomm related reporting.
  • Maintain user accounts, adds, removes, updates.
  • Maintain and monitor backups jobs, software & hardware
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships with IT service providers. Proper problem escalation and invoice validation.
  • Process and implement equipment and access in support of personnel moves, adds, and changes.
  • Assist in on-going system audits to evaluate the utility and efficiency of system's resources and communication components, and the effectiveness in meeting business goals and strategies.
  • Maintain SharePoint via web interface. Assist users with the setup of SharePoint libraries.
  • Client network maintenance and monitoring.
  • Telecom network maintenance and monitoring.
  • Document client, network, software issues.
  • Manage Helpdesk Ticketing System.
  • Ensure proper functioning and maximum up time of all information processing systems. This includes all computer-based systems, all systems associated with telecommunication and data networks, and all software and hardware associated with those systems.
  • Determine the company's systems needs and hardware acquisitions to accomplish business objectives.
  • Responsible for supporting the organization's networks, telecommunications and computer systems.
  • Help business operations utilize information systems to improve efficiency and meet organizational needs. Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs to formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company's network, data, and databases.
  • On call Duties.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Background & Qualifications
Formal Education & Certification
  • Associates Degree in Computer Science preferred or related field and 3-5 years related training and/or experience.
  • Knowledge of network wiring and cabling standards, use of network switches and hubs.
  • Knowledge of relational databases.
  • A+, MCP or MCSE Certification preferred.
  • Microsoft Business Solutions Dynamics GP experience preferred.
  • VoIP experience a plus.

Knowledge & Experience
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to dissect business processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure and Entra ID
  • Thorough understanding of database systems, programming languages, and software development methodologies. Coding isn't mandatory, but it can be beneficial for reviewing, evaluating, and modifying operations.
  • Knowledge of data communication, computer network operating systems, network design and security, and monitoring/management tools.
  • Advanced-level proficiency with and knowledge of Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity procedures, applications, devices and methodologies.
  • Operating Systems: Proficient with Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, 2025, MS SQL Server, Linux
  • Networking: Proficient with WatchGuard firewalls, pfSense, Cisco, Meraki, HP, NetGear
  • Experience supporting MS O365, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams and other Microsoft Cloud Services.
  • Experience supporting a diverse range of users with a variety of technical skills.
  • Capable of lifting/carrying 50 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs; moderate physical activity.
