    Job description

    Position Summary

    Odyssey Systems is recruiting for an Sr. Acquisition Analyst.  In this role, you will support PM Soldier Survivability (SSV), which is located at Ft. Belvoir, VA and Huntsville, AL. The support required under this effort includes engineering, quality assurance and test support, acquisition support, business management support, logistics and fielding support, operations support, and administrative support. The specific task areas include program management, analysis, planning, studies, liaison, and operations support, strategic communications, engineering and logistics support, new equipment training, system test and product fielding support, acquisition and contracting support, software development and system safety, studies and analysis and quick response support. PM SSV's mission is to equip, clothe, and protect Soldiers to maximize performance today and provide enhanced capability tomorrow. PM SSV's products protect Soldiers and allow them to operate in any condition. Product Manager Air Warrior (PdM AW), Product Manager Soldier Clothing and Individual Equipment (PdM SCIE) and Product Manager Soldier Protective Equipment (PdM SPE) are subordinate Product Offices in PM SSV.

    Responsibilities

    Duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Executes acquisition management across an entire product line
    • Coordinates products and taskings across the acquisition process and life cycle phases
    • Prepares, configures and staffs all Milestone documentation
    • Assists with determining contracting strategy, prepares contracting documents, and coordinates activites with Army Contracting Command
    • Participate in source selection boards and conduct technical evaluations
    • Leads and provides oversight of product IPTs, test events, test reviews, and product demonstrations
    • Assists in providing contract oversight for assigned products
    • Maintains and manages the program budget and master schedule
    • Identifies cost, schedule and performance tradeoffs
    • Lead and oversee preparation of Supply Requests Packages to Defense Logistics Agency and manage transition of products from PM to DLA or Army Sustainment
    • Develop and draft Acquisition Strategies, Acquisition Plans and other acquisition documents
    • Leads tasks supporting pre award contracts, financial management, risk management, total ownership cost determination, and contract coordination
    • Coordinates contracting actions with local procurement contracting officers
    • Performs acquisition strategy requirements

    Qualifications

    Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

    Minimum Required Qualifications

    Clearance: Secret

    Education: BA or BS

    Years of Experience: At least 18 years of experience in DoD Acquisition

    • Ability/experience interfacing regularly with Government clients (Military and Civilian) on all aspects of contract execution.
