Job description

Odyssey has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Life Cycle Logistician professional to join our team supporting the AFLCMC/WIS Asymmetric Warfare Division. In this role, the selected candidate will provide seniorlevel life cycle logistics expertise across SOF and sUAS platforms within the Integration Program, ensuring sustainment readiness, streamlined product support, and longterm operational availability as advanced capabilities are fielded and modernized.


Duties include, but not limited to: 

  • Support development, updates, and assessments associated with Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs), Life Cycle Management Plans (LCMPs), and Independent Logistics Assessments (ILAs).
  • Develop and document recommended logistics inputs for PWSs, RFPs, and CDRLs supporting assigned programs.
  • Participate in acquisition strategy planning, program reviews, IPTs, working groups, and logisticsrelated meetings; prepare briefings, compile data, track actions, and finalize meeting minutes.
  • Prepare and coordinate logistics correspondence, reports, and documentation.
  • Assist with budget estimate development, and evaluation of cost, schedule, performance, and program risk.
  • Assess weapon system contractor change proposals and recommend logistics impacts for directives, specifications, and standards.
  • Assist with development and submission of CPARS inputs.
  • Monitor fielded systems and evaluate whether platforms meet product support performance metrics.
  • Support maintenance planning and management activities across all levels of maintenance throughout the lifecycle.
  • Execute warranty management functions.
  • Develop supply support requirements, ensuring items are properly procured, cataloged, stocked, and available to meet system availability goals.
  • Manage and sustain technical data, and assist with base activation planning for new aircraft and equipment.
  • Perform depot source of repair (DSOR) planning, repair activation, and related sustainment actions (IAW DAFMAN 63122).
  • Evaluate, process, and track Support Equipment recommendations, providing assessments to ensure SE availability aligns with program timelines.
  • Assess facility requirements and provide recommendations ensuring infrastructure is adequate for weapon system operations and support.
  • Evaluate PHS&T requirements and recommend proper processes and procedures for packaging, handling, storage, and transportation.
  • Review training systems, schedules, and planning, and provide recommendations to improve training and identify risks.
  • Provide Government Furnished Property (GFP) expertise, identifying concerns, risks, and issues, and recommending courses of action for daily GFP management.
  • Perform centralized asset management duties in alignment with DAFMAN 63143.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Clearance: Secret

Education: 

  • Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a related field and ten years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoD.
  • OR bachelor’s degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD.
  • OR, 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, eight of which must be in the DoD.

Technical Skills:

  • Must have experience with supply storage and transportation
  • Experience with developing, updating, and assessing LCSPs, LCMPs, and conducting Independent Logistics Assessments
  • Skilled in creating logistics inputs for PWSs, RFPs and CDRLs, and preparing briefings, correspondence, reports, and meeting documentation
  • Experienced in managing technical data, performing DSOR planning, overseeing GFP processes, and executing centralized asset management IAW DAFMAN 63143.
  • Proficient in maintenance planning across all levels, executing warranty management, evaluating SE recommendations, and developing supply support requirements.
  • Ability to assist with budget estimates and evaluate cost, schedule, performance, and program risk for weapon systems and sustainment activities.

Please note: Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as the Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
