The Role:

  • Location: Lansing, MI
  • Assignment duration: 9/1/2026 - 12/1/2026 (91 days)
  • # of Positions: 1
  • Type: Travel (local providers preferred)
  • Provider: Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist (MD)
  • Shift: Days - 7 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday
  • Call Schedule: Q3 call (every third weekday and every third weekend)
  • Call Ratio: 1 out of 3 Interventional Radiologists
  • Average Cases Per Day: ~8
  • Practice Setting: Hospital-based, Level I trauma designation
  • IR Team: 3 physicians + 2 APPs (Manager and two APPs supporting IR team)
  • Patient Population: Primarily Adult (frequent Geriatric)
  • Procedures Required: angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, needle biopsy, thrombolysis, UFE (uterine fibroid embolization)
  • Additional Preferred Procedures: orthopedic, gynecologic, urology cases
  • Documentation System/EMR: Not specified
  • Credentialing: Estimated 90 days (will fast-track for ASAP need)
  • Lodging: On-campus lodging provided if needed
  • Reimbursement: Mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate

Qualifications / Submission Requirements:

  • Board Certified in Interventional Radiology - REQUIRED
  • Active Michigan medical license REQUIRED (IMLC/compact license not accepted)
  • BLS and ACLS certifications REQUIRED
  • Clean malpractice and license history HIGHLY PREFERRED
  • Copy of NPDB self-query (pulled within 30 days) REQUIRED at presentation
  • Local providers preferred (mileage reimbursement only); travel providers will be considered if able to provide multi-week coverage per month (confirm availability during submission)
