    Looking to make your summer unforgettable? Dive into exciting internship opportunities at Northeast Shared Services! Gain invaluable real-world experience in a dynamic business setting, where you'll work alongside industry experts who are dedicated to guiding and mentoring you every step of the way. Join us this summer and embark on a journey filled with growth, learning, and endless possibilities! This is a 10 week program and all opportunities are located on-site. 

    Play a key role in improving how workplace policies are communicated across Northeast Grocery. As an HR Policy Intern, you'll help review, simplify, and modernize handbook and policy content to create a clearer, more accessible resource for employees and leaders. Working alongside HR professionals, you'll gain experience in content strategy, policy governance, and plain-language writing while helping build a single source of truth for company policies.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Contribute to: Policy/handbook content audit + prioritization (what to update first and why).
    • Contribute to: Updated handbook/policy content for a defined priority set (simplified language + consistent structure).
    • Contribute to: Online policy library organization plan (taxonomy, search-friendly structure, and style guide) + implementation recommendations.
    • Support as needed: Support stakeholder review cycles and version control to ensure updated content is ready for approval.

    You will learn:

    • How HR policies support operations, compliance, and teammate experience.
    • Content strategy, plain-language writing, and governance for policy libraries.
    • Cross-functional review and approval workflows.
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    • Academic background: Human Resources, Business Administration, Communication or Graphic Design
    • Currently enrolled in HR, Communications, Business, or related field.
    • Strong writing, editing, and attention to detail.
    • Comfort handling sensitive/confidential information.

    Preferred:

    • Experience with policy documentation, content governance, or technical writing (a plus).
