OR Nurse Manager
Location: Hendersonville, TN 37075
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent | Days | No Weekends
Salary: $90,900 - $136,200 annually (based on experience)
Relocation Assistance: Up to $10,000
Position Summary
The OR Nurse Manager will lead daily operations within Surgical Services while ensuring exceptional patient-centered care, clinical excellence, and operational efficiency. This leadership role oversees staffing, workflow coordination, quality initiatives, employee development, and department performance across perioperative services.
The Manager will provide leadership for the Operating Room, Central Sterile, Anesthesia, and First Assist teams while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary departments to support high-quality surgical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of Surgical Services departments
- Ensure safe, high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance
- Manage staffing, scheduling, hiring, onboarding, and performance management
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and coaching to clinical teams
- Support evidence-based practices and patient safety initiatives
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to improve outcomes
- Monitor workflow and maintain appropriate staffing levels
- Address patient, physician, and visitor concerns professionally
- Support departmental growth initiatives and operational improvements
Department Highlights
- Oversight of Operating Room, Central Sterile, Anesthesia, and First Assist teams
- Approximately 50 direct reports
- Supervision of 4-5 Coordinators
- 10 Operating Rooms plus 2 dedicated OB ORs
- Advanced robotic surgical technology available
- High-volume Orthopedic, Bariatric, and Vascular programs
- Primarily elective and outpatient surgical cases
- Level III Trauma facility
- Monday-Friday day shift schedule
- 24/7 leadership accountability with no routine call rotation
QualificationsRequired
- Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma
- Current RN license in Tennessee or Compact State
- Current BLS Certification
- Minimum 1 year of related clinical experience
- Prior clinical leadership experience preferred, including:
- Charge Nurse
- Supervisor
- Lead Nurse experience considered
