Mujin is the future of industrial robotic systems in production and distribution environments. Our technology gives robots perception and awareness, enabling them to take on more advanced tasks. We aim to revolutionize the use of robotics within industry to free human resources from labor-intensive tasks to focus on more intellectual challenges.

We are seeking a Senior Technical Writer to join our team. A technical writer plays a crucial role in making complex technical information understandable and usable. In this role, you will focus on writing clear, user-friendly documentation for technical products, systems, processes, equipment operations & maintenance, research findings, etc., for internal or external audiences. The role partners closely with the department being supported to understand the unique requirements and needs of the communications.

Position Description:

  • Works with developers, engineers, and other technical staff to ensure documentation reflects current processes and product functionality
  • Writes user manuals, how-to guides, integration guides, API documentation and system operation instructions
  • Determines an effective structure and layout for complex manuals and other technical documentation
  • Conducts research and liaising with technical staff to ensure accurate interpretation of complex technical data, drawings, and specifications
  • Ensures that appropriate technical content and terminology review occurs and that provision is made for the incorporation of updates and revisions
  • Edits content to improve clarity, impact, flow, meaning, and readability
  • Develops schedules and plans for documentation projects, ensuring timely delivery
  • May conduct usability testing to ensure documentation meets user needs


Position Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in English, communication, journalism, or STEMfield is preferred
  • 4+ years relevant work experience
  • Familiarity with software, hardware, or engineering concepts relevant to our industry
  • Experience with documentation tools, content management systems and publishing software
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear, concise language for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong attention to detail

Physical Demands/ Work Environment:

  • Travel Requirement: Less than 5%,
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to work extended hours as required
