    Job description

    Job Summary:
    Midco Sports showcases a wide array of sporting events and syndicated sports programming reaching thousands of fans. The Midco Sports team produces highly professional broadcasts that connect fans with their favorite teams and sporting events.     Positions and Responsibilities:
    Producer
    • Prepare statistics and information about the game in real-time. Also in charge of timing, spots and the look of the game broadcast.
    • Three years' experience in advertising/ television production.

    Director
    • Carries out the Producers vision for the game and manages camera shots, replays, and graphics to deliver a smooth, real-time broadcast.
    • Three years' experience directing television production.

    Technical Director
    • Operates the video switcher and executes the director's commands to ensure smooth transitions between cameras, graphics, and replays during a live sports broadcast.
    • Experience required.

    Audio 1
    • Primary audio operator for the event. Also assists engineering team with setup.
    • Candidates should have specific training on Calrec or similar audio systems Avid Audio

    Audio 2
    • Assistant to Audio 1, the primary audio operator. Participates in setup and troubleshooting technical issues during game.
    • One year experience with audio basics, intercoms, talk-backs and cabling preferred.

    Replay
    • Prepares replays during the game using various camera angles and communicates with the Director on source for playback. Also builds highlight melts and plays back other packages as needed.
    • Experience with Grass Valley Dyno, Evertz Dream Catcher, EVS, 3Play or other replay systems preferred.

    Camera
    • Successfully operates video cameras to film live events and other subjects as required.
    • Three years' Experience operating ENG, production or live sports broadcast cameras preferred.

    Shader
    • Shades cameras during live game and uses equipment to verify that the light levels and coloring meet specifications.
    • On-the-job-training provided by the Engineer.

    Graphics 1
    • Creates team, statistics, and Midco Sports SN graphics using the Chyron system. Proof all graphics prior to sending to Technical Director.
    • One year experience operating a Chyron or similar graphics system and Photoshop software preferred.

    Graphics 2
    • Assists Chyron 1 by accurately providing accurate recent statistical information.
    • Experience with spreadsheets and data preferred. operating a Chyron or similar graphics system and Photoshop software preferred.

    Score Bug
    • Operates the Scorebug with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure the score, timeouts, etc. are accurate.
    • Some experience operating a scoring graphics system preferred. Chyron system and Photoshop software.

    Time-Out Coordinator
    • Works closely with Producer and game officials to ensure breaks run on schedule.
    • On-the-job training provided by the Producer.

    Grip/Utility
    • Responsible for handling cables for the floor camera operators.
    • On-the-job training provided.

    Studio Tech
    • Assists with audio, camera and graphics.
    • One year experience with advertising or television production preferred.

    Load-in-Crew
    • Assists with equipment set-up prior to a game or event.
    • On-the-job training provided by the Engineer.

    Work Environment:
    • The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
    • Fast paced environment to meet deadlines

    Physical Demands:
    • Positions may require the employee to occasionally lift and/or carry loads up to 70lbs and be exposed to outside weather conditions and loud noises.
    • Ability to keep focus and complete work with multiple distractions vying for attention.
