Build a Career That Impacts Communities

At MGO, we're more than a CPA and advisory firm. We're trusted advisors to organizations that shape industries, strengthen communities, and drive meaningful change. As a nationally recognized Best Place to Work with more than 500 professionals across the U.S. and India, we're committed to helping our people grow, lead, and thrive.

We're looking for an experienced Assurance Senior Associate to join our expanding State and Local Government Practice. What You'll Do

  • Lead audit engagements from planning through completion.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, staffing, and client communications.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop associates and experienced staff.
  • Build trusted relationships with government leaders and key stakeholders.
  • Review workpapers, identify risk areas, and ensure audit quality.
  • Develop expertise in government auditing standards, federal compliance, and complex public-sector reporting.
  • Contribute to practice growth through client service excellence and business development initiatives.

What You'll Bring

  • 2 + years of public accounting experience; State and Local Government audit experience strongly preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field with required accounting coursework.
  • CPA license preferred; CPA eligible or actively pursuing certification required.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements while delivering exceptional client service.

Why MGO?

Gain direct exposure to partners and industry leaders who invest in your success.

Accelerate your career with clear advancement opportunities in one of the nation's fastest-growing firms.

Enjoy a people-first culture built on trust, flexibility, inclusion, and innovation.

Competitive compensation, bonus opportunities, comprehensive benefits, and flexible work arrangements designed to support your life and career.
