Job Title: Procurement Analyst
Location:Columbus, OH
Pay Range:$40/hr (temp to perm)The Procurement Analyst - Technology Sourcing & Asset Management is a hands-on role responsible for supporting end-to-end technology procurement activities, with a strong emphasis on software renewals, vendor negotiations, SaaS contracting, and indirect technology sourcing.This role partners closely with Technology, Finance, Legal, and business stakeholders to manage procurement intake, execute sourcing events (including RFPs), validate contract terms and pricing, and ensure accurate tracking of technology assets across their lifecycle. The position requires someone who can step in quickly, manage renewals independently, and support both tactical procurement execution and ongoing process improvement.

Position AccountabilitiesTechnology Sourcing & Procurement Operations

• Manage day-to-day procurement activities focused on technology, software, SaaS, hardware, and IT services
• Lead and support software renewals, vendor negotiations, and contract extensions
• Validate contract line items, pricing structures, usage assumptions, and business terms
• Maintain accurate procurement records including contracts, renewals, purchase requests, and vendor documentation
• Support PO creation, invoice reconciliation, and resolution of procurement-related issues
• Track contract expirations and proactively manage renewal timelines to avoid service disruption
• Support vendor onboarding, maintenance, and compliance documentation

RFP Development & Sourcing Support

• Gather requirements directly from stakeholders to develop and structure RFPs/RFQs
• Draft, distribute, and manage RFP documentation and vendor communications
• Coordinate vendor responses, maintain tracking logs, and organize evaluation materials
• Support pricing comparisons and supplier analysis for sourcing decisions
• Assist in evaluating vendor proposals against defined business and technical requirements
• Partner with Legal and Procurement leadership to ensure sourcing documentation aligns with internal standards

Software Asset Management (SAM) & Lifecycle Tracking

• Maintain and update software license, SaaS subscription, and hardware asset records
• Use internal request and asset management systems to track lifecycle events (procurement, deployment, renewal, retirement)
• Support license true-ups, usage tracking, and audit preparation activities
• Coordinate asset refresh, onboarding, and offboarding activities across the organization
• Ensure accurate reconciliation of software and hardware inventory across systems

Business Analysis & Reporting

• Compile and maintain spend, contract, and asset data to support decision-making
• Develop reports on vendor performance, contract status, renewal timelines, and asset utilization
• Identify discrepancies in procurement and asset data and support resolution
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and documentation standardization

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Serve as a primary point of contact for procurement intake, renewal questions, and vendor issues
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Support cross-functional coordination between Technology, Finance, Legal, and Purchasing teams
• Provide guidance on procurement processes, intake workflows, and sourcing procedures
• Maintain strong vendor relationships to support negotiation and issue resolution activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 1-3 years of experience in technology procurement, indirect sourcing, vendor management, or asset management
• Demonstrated experience supporting or leading software/SaaS renewals and technology contract management
• Experience participating in or leading RFP development and execution
• Strong understanding of business terms, pricing models, and contract structures
• Familiarity with Software Asset Management (SAM) concepts and tools
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret contract and spend data
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Experience with procurement, ERP, or asset management systems (PeopleSoft, Basware, Ivanti, ServiceNow, or similar) preferred
