    Job description

    VETERANS ENCOURAGED TO APPLY
    Lonestar Electric Supply has an immediate opening for an Applications Engineer- Design. In this role, you'll be an integral part of a growing design team, working with Electrical and General Contractors, as well as Developers and owners - in designing and budgeting code compliant lighting and control systems. This position will require strong communication skills, electrical knowledge, Computer Design software experience, and a drive to help structure a successful/profitable design group from the ground up.
    Responsibilities:
    • Work with the Sales team and its customers to understand project goals and requirements.
    • Request, organize, and manage all available project documentation.
    • Design, takeoff, create project deliverables, and submittals using Lonestar CAD standards and common practices.
    • Utilize CRM to input Bill of Materials into our system to quote or price within Lonestar Stock or with Lonestar Vendor Partners.
    • Deliver all quotes and project design submittals to client timely.
    • Maintain pricing updates for Projects and communicate to client regularly.
    • Answer and respond to all client inquiries.
    • Participate in project meetings, both in-person and virtually.
    • Programming and troubleshooting of Lighting Control Systems.
    • Field visits to obtain or communicate project design specifications.
    • Perform other related duties as requested by supervisor or manager

    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's or associate Degree in related field: design or electrical.
    • Industry Experience preferred but not required, Lighting and Lighting Controls.
    • Familiarity and Confidence with Computer Aided Design software and drafting standards, AutoCAD/Agi32.
    • Experience using Bluebeam.
    • Familiarity with Excel.
    • Ability to interface with the customer on a professional and personal level.
    • Responsive and passionate about customer service.
    • Ability to manage an email account in Outlook.
    • Highly adaptable and ready to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Own project design from start to finish independently.
    • Coordinate multiple projects with various entities at one time.
    • Ability to manage and support multiple client accounts and standards.
    • Focused on meeting deadlines.

    Physical Requirements:
    • Lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required infrequently.
    • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
    • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
